ULTRASPAN® WEATHERSTRIP
US1100 SERIES

Extruded, heat-cured silicone rubber is specially engineered for easy installation and superior performance in moving construction joints on numerous substrates, including exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), pre-cast concrete, brick, glass, metal and other building materials.

When existing building sealants fail, UltraSpan weatherstrip from GE Silicones provides a labor-saving alternative to cutting and recaulking that can help simplify your next building repair and restoration project.

UltraSpan weatherstrip can be bonded to a wide selection of building substrates with SilPruf® sealant to span moving joints and produce a highly reliable and durable weather seal that will perform even under extrerne environmental conditions. And with UltraSpan weatherstrip, there is no need to remove the old sealant before applying. Other benefits include :

Low modulus reduces strain the substrate surface, while rubber properties permit excellent recovery from extension and compression cycling.

Application in the factory or field enables you to produce secondary seals against water air and dust penetration.

Unique ribbed surface controls SilPruf sealant squeeze-out and the depth of the bonding sealant.

Special notched design aids sealant application while eliminating three-sided adhesion and loss of movement.

Silicone rubber provides extended protection from UV and weather exposure.

Specially formulated, heat-cured rubber extrusions provide superior resistance to dirt pick-up over similar RTV extrusions.

Widths from 1" to 5" are packaged in 100' rolls Non-ribbed silicone strips also are available in 6", 9" and 12". Special orders can accomodate widths up to 46".

PPT CUSTOM EXTRUDED AND MOLDED PARTS

Custom molded, heat-cured rubber silicone boots and extrusions offer significant advantages over field-applied sealants. Ease of application and installation helps reduce labor costs, while the availability of standard and custom colors (plus translucent) to match existing materials provides greater aesthetic appeal. In addition, the size and shape of these custom boots and extrusions are limited only by your imagination.

GE Silicones has aligned with Performance Polymer Technologies (PPT) of Sunnyvale, CA, to manufacture these custom parts from the same material that GE Silicones makes UltraSpan wetherstrips. PPT is an industry leader with extensive experience in molding and extruding precision silicone rubber components.

PPT's engineering design expertise, coupled with GE Silicones' comprehensive field support and testing services are your assurance of long-term product and material performance.

SILPRUF SEALANT, ULTRASPAN WEATHERSTRIP AND CUSTOM EXTRUDED/MOLDED PARTS
SilPruf one part silicone sealant provides superior performance in weather sealing applications as the specified adhesive for bonding UltraSpan in place. Upon application, the sealant reacts with atmospheric moisture to produce a low-modulus, long-lasting silicone rubber building joint and glazing seal.

Ideal for use as a resilient rubber splice in
high-performance window and curtainwall applications.
